Excellent purchase. I paint a lot outside and inside and am very picky about the quality of the brush. While these brushes wouldn't be my first choice for oil-based coloring (hair is best), I've used them for coloring and they work great, although they can spritz a bit more than natural hair. I have also used them for wall decoration, porch, front door. I've used both water and oil based paints and have had no problems. It's very easy to work with and I don't tape the walls - not that I don't recommend tape, I just don't need it because I learned to paint professionally as a young woman. I bought an extra set to keep in my tool box. For the price you can't beat this quality.
