This is a really nice, attractive teapot that will brighten up my kitchen. Although the enamel had a slight bulge on the outside, it appears to be flush with the metal and the rest of the piece is immaculate (I'll update if this turns out to be an issue). This kettle's whistle isn't too loud and doesn't sound as smooth and pleasant as my previous kettle (a cheap OXO kettle I bought used), but I didn't buy this kettle because I thought it would sing. ! I'll hear it when it's done, that's enough. When he whistles, he spits a little out of his spout, but not enough to make a mess. The handle tends to get hot but not hot but I installed a pot handle holder on it so even if this was an issue it could easily be solved by adding a hot handle holder. I love the "Whistle While You Work" detail on the lid. I have found that this kettle boils water faster than my previous one and as the magnet sticks to the bottom of this kettle it also works when switching to an induction hob. All in all I was looking for a stylish yet functional new kettle and I feel it suits me.
