Was looking for a lighter weight, smaller trimmer to replace my full size electric (wall) trimmer. I love how light it is and how comfortable it is to hold. The loading capacity is sufficient, and the hair extensions are easy to use and can be adjusted according to my needs. Using the lowest (shortest) setting, I cut my hair to the exact length that fits but always looks perfect. I use it every day and it helps me maintain a stable military look. The reason for the three barrels is that the blades are already dulling and this affects efficiency (how long it lasts) and accuracy. More specifically, this means it was brand new but may have some bumps now after a few months. This is a problem because I'm using the lowest settings, so I can't get rid of these bumps by reducing the length. Take a guide and go to the fullest. UPDATE: 3 months after purchase, the old wire cutters had to be taken out. Norelco 3100 is too boring to use. I see that they6 lowered the price from $19.99 to $12.99. I think it's more like maybe even $9.99 or not at all. I need a new trimmer.
