I've been using this between professional paints for years. The best way to use it is to apply it after shampooing and before blow drying so your hair is still messy. Just use the pencil on the gray roots and then smudge it with your finger to fade it out. When you blow dry your hair you won't notice any difference as it blends beautifully. It stays on the skin until the next shampoo or when graying occurs, simply wet the pen, draw and blend with your fingers. Fingers darken, but immediately wash off with soap and water.
