Review on ✂️ Trim, Smooth, and Perfect Edges with the Weaver Leather Edger by George Karadimas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Premium quality

I make leather goods as a hobby. I'm working on a pancake style sheath and needed an edger that would trim tight corners on the 4-5 ounce belt slots. Leather. I watch a lot of leatherwork on YouTube. I recently happened to see a YouTube video of Bruce Cheeney (a well-known Texas saddle maker) and he said he had used a Weaver Narrow Corner Edger for projects that required narrow corner edges. Since I didn't see an edger called "Narrow Corner Edger" on Weaver's website, I emailed Weaver and asked if the edgers in their catalog would work in my application. They responded within minutes, saying that their editors were indeed the ones Bruce Cheeney was talking about in his YouTube video. I was hoping this cutter was everything I hoped it would be. Revane delivered it yesterday, just as they said it would arrive. The knife is sharp right out of the box. It feels good in the hand and goes effortlessly through tight corners. It's even sharp enough to cut through the flesh (rough side) of the skin. The edger is made in the USA, which is a rarity these days. Being just a leatherworking hobbyist and working on a budget I don't usually buy top quality tools, but in this case I'm glad I spent the extra money to get a quality edger. The difference it makes is truly amazing. I would definitely recommend this to all leatherworkers with similar tight corner edging requirements.
