I received this cat scratching post about an hour ago and my cat has been obsessed with it since I put it on the floor. My majestic animal has turned into a plucked head; he rolls the barrel over this thing like an alligator with a freshly caught limp gazelle. While entertaining, I wonder if he'll ever use it for its intended purpose: scratching. I don't care right now, because his sheer joy alleviates the guilt I felt for confining this once-feral cat in my Temperature Controlled Food Abundance House for the past four years. I thought he was happy, but this notebook proved me wrong; he was living a lie. THAT gave him happiness I had never seen in him before. The real euphoria he is feeling now will be difficult to overcome and impossible to forget. (Maybe I was living a lie?) Somehow this notebook put him in a trance and me in a fit of existential dread. Win. (Four stars until he actually scratches it)
