First, it works. full range dimmer. The dimmer has an additional switch on the bottom to turn it off completely without losing power. You cannot save the previous position if you turn off the light. The fan switch has operating positions 1 through 3. Position 3 is full speed, position 2 is low speed, and position 1 is almost useless as the fan spins so slowly that it doesn't do anything useful. To be fair, I don't have Hunter fans, so maybe they work differently with Hunter fans. I bought this to replace my previous full range speed controller which was making the fans hum. This controller does not generate fan noise. There is no remote control function.
