We are tired of leaving our garage door ajar so our cat can go in the garage and use the litter box. around depending on the time of year meaning we turn on our heat and aircon more often, the kids forget to put the doorstop on etc. My husband fitted the cover, he had trouble cutting a hole in the door but it's not a damper fault . Despite the imperfect cut, the flap fitted the hole well and hid imperfections. It took our cat a few days to figure out that she could get in and out of the hatch. I held the door open for her to slip in and out, but by day 3 or so she didn't need a prompt. Now it drives in and out with no problems. I love that I can keep the garage door closed at all times without worrying about the cat having to use her box. I didn't have to use locking mechanisms and I never think I'll ever need that, but it's a nice added feature. I wish we had received this flap sooner!
