I think anyone with an iOS or iPadOS device knows full well that Apple USB-A to Lightning cables are pathetic crap , which keeps breaking. Insertion of cables into stubs due to fatigue and bend radius failure under load. It's a shame to pay Apple what we do for less-than-marginal products like their cables. Any worthy structural engineer knows that a fork must offer protection from constant flexing and fatigue; but Apple never seems to learn from its own design mistakes.
