Hard work but my Altima 2.5 11 speed CVT hasn't gone back into fail safe mode yet. This cooler works well. This Nissan CVT design is clearly an engineering mistake. Note. Remove the bumper, lower plastic panel, air intake, battery and battery trays. Leave the lower small hose to the transmission cooler installed in the radiator and remove the upper hose. Insert a new 11/32" gear hose into the upper hose clamp and tighten the 1/2" clamp on the end of the hose over the clamp. Route the hose under the bottom of the radiator and up the front to the secondary transmission cooler. Drain the radiator back under the radiator and straight to the bare ferrum where you removed and pinched the old hose from the transmission. I also changed the oil in the variator, the filter and the gasket under the transmission oil pan. The car was out of warranty so I used Castrol 5.5 liter oil. I bought an extra 11/32" gear hose and 1/2 to 3/4 clamps.
