I bought these remote controls for my 2006 Chevy Cobalt. This type of remote needs to be programmed by a dealer or locksmith. I had my local Chevy dealer program them for me. After programming, the remotes worked fine (locked and unlocked the door and opened the trunk) except my dash said "KEY FOB BATT LOW". The message can be cleared by pressing the display reset button, but it appeared every time the car was started. The dealer replaced the batteries but that didn't help. I broke down and bought a genuine Chevy key fob and everything is fine.
