The material is soft and pleasant to the touch. The main disadvantage of the design was the lack of a circular cutout for the neck. Basically the rectangle of material was cut halfway down the middle, the folded edge was sewn. When I put it on, the front was 5 inches shorter than the back. 2.5 inches from the center of the neck to the shoulder and then 2.5 inches across the chest. I tried layering the front pieces and it just emphasized the length of the back piece.
