The knife block is really innovative and looks sharp. I am very pleased to display this item on my kitchen table for several reasons. It is compact and still offers space for a complete set of knives. NOTE: Bamboo is like all wood because it will warp when exposed to moisture for a long period of time, especially when combined with heat. Wash your hands gently. do not put in the dishwasher! That being said, it also works as a cutting board when I need to cut and slice cheesy veggies very quickly. This is perfect for city life and small kitchens. I think I'm kind of in the zone here with my bamboo pieces throughout the house, but it's nice to be green and keep a classy look. This knife holder will definitely make a quick gift for future events as I'm the only person I know who has one of these right now. 5/5 stars.
