Funny, endearing, and informative

As a family heir, I bought a well-maintained, low-mileage minivan in 2007 and spent my life in the warm, unsalted Southeast. . So no rust and mechanically flawless. But like cars of this genre, it lacks the modern instrument clusters that we enjoy today. Adding this nifty display to the stock minivan dashboard is a good thing. The ACECAR digital display offers the user multiple display configurations. Some of them work well for my use case, e.g. B. They offer a coolant temperature gauge and battery voltage readings, while my car only offers warning lights. That's good. If I were worried about missing features, it would be nice to say a little more about which data points one of the display configurations can be inserted into. For example, it would be nice to monitor the temperature of the transmission oil. I can get to this value by scrolling through a long list of inputs using this display option and simply leaving the screen on that data point - like a user would do when using a more traditional OBD-2 real-time scanner. But that's a minor issue and I don't think it justifies calling the seller as I can choose a display that allows for a long scrolling list. It would be nice if I could add this value to one of the other brighter and more targeted display options instead of being limited to a couple of data points programmed for me by the vendor. This means I can make some adjustments to what data points should be offered, but for light displays it's a subset of the entire list of data points and I can't change that subset. Setup and use is intuitive. As usual with this family of car accessories, there's a suction cup mount for windows or, if you prefer, an adhesive mount. I chose the suction cup because it allows me to rotate this device between other vehicles with minimal effort. It seems strong enough. The control buttons work as they should. All in all a cool and practical display for my use case. Five stars.
