I mounted it on the side of a 3 gallon glass tank but it wasn't bright enough, especially when there was something else in the tank besides fish and water. Having multiple colors to choose from or changing them frequently makes me feel sorry for the poor fish who have no control over their living environment. Imagine you have no eyelids and are dealing with discoloration and just want to relax. People may entertain the concept of colored lights, but do the fish like it? I decided to use it to light up a glass terrarium at night. Plants receive natural light during the day, so colored LEDs are better suited to improve their appearance at night. The remote works best when held closer to the light bar. It's too early to say anything about the durability of this product.
