Life Expectancy: Fish and aquatic life

I've bought so many of these lights over the years. I use them on tanks of all sizes. Depending on the color (lighter than dark purple) it can actually glow up to a 10 gallon tank. I then have one on each side of my 20 gallon tank and they are perfect for the entire tank.

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Normal quality, not premium

This is a cool little LED flashlight with different colors, remote control and USB power supply, but the price is quite high for such a small flashlight. Advantages: 1. Remote control2. Colorful LED lights3. USB PowerCons: 1. Price is high for small light2. Build quality isn't great, just OK3. Includes USB cable but no USB adapter

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

Not bright enough - fish and aquatic animals

Bought at Walmart for about $1 less. I use it in a 3 gallon Top Fin Indulge tank, without the lid of course. The remote is nice and I like the color choice, but it's not bright enough for everyday use. At the highest setting, the light appears rather subdued in a room with average daylight. Currently I only use my aquarium for ghost shrimp, but I also have a few small living plants. Light is clearly not enough for living plants. This light comes in handy for cleaning the tank as I can't access…

Good light for small containers. Not very bright.

I mounted it on the side of a 3 gallon glass tank but it wasn't bright enough, especially when there was something else in the tank besides fish and water. Having multiple colors to choose from or changing them frequently makes me feel sorry for the poor fish who have no control over their living environment. Imagine you have no eyelids and are dealing with discoloration and just want to relax. People may entertain the concept of colored lights, but do the fish like it? I decided to use it to…

Whether the plug is USB or you need an adapter, very weak.

I was asked to review this up to 4 gallon TETRA COLORFUSION LED light bar and as I have several small aquariums I decided to give it a try. At the time of testing, the light costs $24.99. This is a very low light source as you would expect from such applications and is great for fish that don't like things too bright. The flashlight attaches easily to the tank and the remote is the only way to control the light (which I think is a problem with things like this, once they go away they're…

Pros

Cons
  • Some issues

For those who have a nano tank that doesn't have spare LED lights for the hood and now on without a hood and are looking for an LED lamp, look out for the Tetra COLORFUSION LED range. It includes five multicolor and white LED lights, 15 colored knobs and a clip that makes it easy to attach to frameless or framed tanks. up to 0.75 inch thick. It also has an easily adjustable arm that helps bend things in place. It's fine for small aquariums, it's not very bright for growing live plants, but for…

Perfect for table size aquarium, my fish love it!

I have a small .75 gallon aquarium for a betta fish. Before you judge me for how small the betta tank is, read his story: So 2 years ago my kids got a "free" betta from the pet store. Poor guy, I don't know if he's lived his whole life in that tiny cup or what, but his body is constantly curved in a C-shape and he can't swim very well in deep water. Tried him in a 3.5 gallon goldfish tank (like our other bettas), then in a 2 gallon and then even a 1 gallon goldfish tank but he struggled to…
