I've bought so many of these lights over the years. I use them on tanks of all sizes. Depending on the color (lighter than dark purple) it can actually glow up to a 10 gallon tank. I then have one on each side of my 20 gallon tank and they are perfect for the entire tank.

This is a cool little LED flashlight with different colors, remote control and USB power supply, but the price is quite high for such a small flashlight. Advantages: 1. Remote control2.
