I read that a man bent the rod on the float, I just screwed the ball onto the rod until it was the right length. It's a tight fit, but it works flush for flush. There is no bottom leak. An overflow pipe with a clamp inside and this spring. I attached the tube to the spring and inserted the spring into the overflow tube. That's how it works, that's how it's supposed to work, I couldn't really tell from the instructions, and Youtube didn't even mention it. But if I can do it, everyone should be able to.
