Review on ๐Ÿ” High Performance Denso 234-4337 Oxygen Sensor - Improved SEO by Justin Sherman

OEM for 06 Chevy Silverado 5.3L VIN "B "

I bought these to "freshen up" the fuel economy when my truck got about 136,000 miles. These were the original oxygen sensors for my 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT. I was surprised because I thought it must have AC Delco O2 sensors. Not this case. They were identical to the ones I pulled from it. All in all it was a very simple switch. I crawled under the truck just behind the front wheels and found that all of the sensors were screwed into the exhaust pipes just above the catalytic converters. A 7/8" wrench loosened the old ones with a few turns and I was able to pull them out the rest of the way by hand. to get at it) and the other was next to the gearbox (a bit more difficult). To separate the old ones, I had to remove the plastic tab from the connector tongue before it broke off. Installing the new ones was. Each came with just enough anti-seize paste to prevent rusting. After smearing it on the threads a bit, they screwed in easily and tightened very firmly. The pigtails fit perfectly into the truck connectors and I even swapped out the locking tabs. The difference was almost instantaneous. My fuel adjustments went from an average of 3.9% to an average of 0% over the long term. I also got back about 3 mpg, which I've been missing for a while, and some more power. All in all it was a good choice to buy them. Also, it's good to know that the ones I took were also Denso brands - they had 136,000 miles on them and they're still going. The engine gave no code and the sensors were still working. It was just that they were sluggish and a bit old and I decided it was time to replace them. So replacing them with identical ones is very convenient for me - as far as I'm concerned, I don't mind using them every 150,000 or so, especially if they pay off within 7 tanks of fuel. I would recommend it to anyone who drives a high mileage car and has found it not performing as well or not having the mileage they are used to. They may or may not solve the whole problem, but they* will prevent you from pouring too much fuel into your cat and clogging it, which is a much more complicated solution than that :)
