I have tried many products with henna and this covers my gray roots very well (at the moment I have about 30-40% gray hair). In this photo, I applied to clean hair 4 days after coloring (washed the day before) and left it for 2.5 hours with two shower caps. That's it, I've been doing henna for over a year now. I've tried different ways including henna powder which is beautiful but very tedious and messy. Henna isn't easy, but there's a trade-off: you'll end up with much healthier hair and scalp. So for me it's worth it. I cut off all my "processed" hair and this little bob is just henna dyed. My natural color before I started going gray was medium dark brown. I only use Wen Cleansing Conditioner to wash it off and I usually wait 48-72 hours before washing it again, although I can rinse it off with clean water if I go to the gym. and it doesn't seem to affect the color much. A normal shampoo will remove it, even without sulfates. So be careful. But if you want natural henna that doesn't smell like the color of the box and has a nice copper color, this is a good option.
