I bought these keys when my 2 original key fobs stopped working other than turning the car on. I changed the batteries. Nothing. I took them to the dealer and they told me they were dead and it would cost $289 to replace ONE! We bought these keys at first because we thought we could trade my already cut key for a new working fob. We made it. When we tried to program it we found that we need 2 original keys to make it work. So it was a failure. We then got everything back on track and I tracked down a local locksmith via FB who was able to carve my two new keys for $50. Then I was able to program as follows: 1. Enter original key 1 and switch on for 3 seconds (car does not start) 2. Enter original key 2 and switch on for 3 seconds (does not start the car) 3. Enter spare key, switch on and let it be programmed (car does not start). Your key should now be programmed to turn the car on and off. However, other functions of your key fob may still not work. I did some more research and found that if you unplug the battery for a minute or two and plug it back in, that should reset your fob and it should work. And so it was! Excellent purchase! I'm so happy I was able to get 2 new working keys for $120 versus $289 for 1! If you doubt it, just buy it! I'm glad I did and hope this review helps.
