The quality of the skin depends on the color?

So I bought the brown version of this wallet at an out-of-state mall four years ago and it has been my favorite wallet ever. However, I lost it and thought I forgot it at the casino, so I ordered a new wallet, but this time I wanted to try black. I'm not a fan of it. The brown wallet has a very nice real leather feel, while this black one is like a cheap faux sofa. The next day I found my original wallet and it's been gathering dust ever since. Not to mention that the interior looks downright goofy. White with black stripes. Definitely not my thing.
