Only works while you are using it. After several months of repeated use, it no longer wakes up like the first batch. I don't recommend it if you need constant reuse. It even makes the skull drier and itchy on its own. I found it ok if you had a mild or minor issue. Otherwise it sure is hard on your skull. don't take it for me You can also try it as many reviewers liked it with 5 stars. I just don't understand why it doesn't wake up after prolonged use. I started to trust it and then had to stop using it to protect my skull and switch to another product. This is my very personal experience after prolonged use (3 times a week for 6 months). If it doesn't calm you down after the bottle is up, it won't do you any good in the future and will likely cause more dry and itchy scalp problems than you anticipated.
