Review on πŸ”ͺ 9-Inch Full Tang Tactical Knife with Durable ABS Plastic Sheath by Gregory Shin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Gun in left hand

I love this thing. I carried a karambit retention knife to counter strong firearm grips (former law enforcement, tactical training and operations). I came into NV/CA territory temporarily, and their descriptions of "metal knuckles" are vague enough to possibly turn the locking ring into a knuckleduster criminal litigation. Since there was no jurisdiction in the area, I ordered THIS knife. An open carry knife is great for close quarters combat as it meets all the legal requirements for open carry. The knife itself is great! It's become a new favorite along with my always wearable Cold Steel Spartan (which I also highly recommend). THE ONLY thing I have to complain about is the paddle holster. I would have preferred a strap loop but personal preference doesn't lower the rating as I knew it was a paddle when I ordered it. It's not fair to refuse. BUT, as they say, the paddle h in the form of rounded retaining tabs on it, designed to slip and push under the belt and hold it in place. But these bulges are too small and too rounded, and opening the knife often resulted in the knife protruding. AND HIS BOWL! The whole thing has moved. So I took my own knife (it's very sharp) and cut grooves and counter-grooves into the existing lugs. This has turned the sheath, which can be easily removed from the waist either intentionally or accidentally, into one of the most efficient and difficult to remove blades I have ever used. Now they offer reliable performance and will never come loose accidentally. So when I need a knife, I KNOW the knife will ONLY come out when I pull it, and I also know it won't move in combat or while running. Make a change and never worry again. Excellent knife. Great case.

Pros
  • Full Tang Fixed Blade with 4" blade
Cons
  • It's ok
