I bought these for my 18 month old to see if letting me brush his teeth would help him. Brushing your teeth has always been a struggle. He loves a toothbrush to play with and put in his mouth. But brushing his teeth was still a struggle because he only wanted a toothbrush. And the struggle/roughness of brushing while fighting her actually made his sensitive gums bleed. :/ So that was a good idea, but it didn't work. But the toothbrush itself is good. I emailed the company and it is BPA free. My 5 year old loves it because it's cute and it comes with stickers. We will keep trying to see if my son gets better at letting me brush his teeth. However, it was worth paying $7 for a "toy" to take care of while I work in the kitchen. Rschunimagu
