My fault for not having a good look at how they are dressed but beware buyers: they cannot be worn. The internal thread is on the front of the lip, meaning the external thread connects to the bolt/brick. It's impossible to screw in a piece of jewelry without fear of it falling in your ear, especially for those with a conch piercing like mine. I need someone to put them in for me because I've tried so many times to get them working and I really want to like them because they're beautiful and the gauge/labret pad is so comfortable but can't. I don't wear them, it's all because of the thread. I'm disappointed, but ultimately it's my fault for not executing the design.
