I bought this for my slimline LG Blu-ray recorder which came in a portable case. I was really impressed with the fit and finish. The case is really well padded, especially with the bulges, and it wasn't bulky. I didn't smell the strong off-gassing smell that other reviews have mentioned, but I left it out anyway to let it exhale first. Haven't started traveling with it yet so real durability should be visible, but it looks very well built for the price.
