Picky Cat Approved on Scratching Posts

My cat doesn't usually like nice things I buy her, but she loves this one. We had two X-shaped scratching posts for a long time because my cat loves to spread out and ride on the scratching post. I was so excited when I found this. It's long enough that she doesn't scatter the ends and wide enough that she doesn't droop down the sides, but she'll still do it on purpose. Mira likes to sit on the end of this scratch and scratch the middle. I thought the scraper would flip and land on her because all of her weight (9 pounds) was on one end and the other end was being pulled up. Not this case. This thing is so well balanced that a house cat can't flip it over from the end (but she could put it on its side if she tried). I actually put my hand on one end and used a lot of force and it was very difficult to get the other end to fold over like that. The scratch can tip over if the puma plays on it, but you don't have to worry about your snowball getting hurt on it. Also, a skinny cat (so not mine) can climb through the holes inside. scraper if he wishes. I have a fat cat that loves to lean against the wall, so I didn't bother to put it in the middle of the floor, but you can leave it where your little cats can play in it . With this scraper, unlike those X-shaped scrapers, you can turn it over when the side wears out. This is not possible with X-scrapers because their curvature is horizontally asymmetrical. This scraper looks the same on both sides, so it lasts twice as long and you get your money's worth.
