They have a flexible sole that is great for walking, spinning, climbing and playing, and what little granddaughter doesn't enjoy doing all of that? The color is much more neon BRIGHT pink than what is shown in the listing. So bright! Like almost neon light! (To kid). They are very pink but also look orange-pink. Breathable mesh is great for warm or sunny days, but not so great for foggy or rainy days. After a day of school in Seattle, her socks regularly get wet. The fit of the shoe is a little different than most other shoes as the Velcro is much higher than regular shoes and the opening at the top of the foot is smaller. My granddaughter complains that the shoes seem too small on her ankles and too big on her toes. These are good shoes but not her favorite.
