This is a great monitor with one exception, and that exception can be fixed. The exception (for me) is the very rigid swivel mechanism, which requires a lot of effort to rotate the display. If you don't rotate the display often, it doesn't matter, but I do use the rotate function a lot, for example when editing photos in landscape mode and when emailing in portrait mode. The same complaint applies to the tilt function, but since I don't use it much, the stiffness here doesn't bother me. To adjust the firmness, place the monitor face down on a flat, non-abrasive surface and press the release button on the stand to unlock it as shown below on page 8 of the user manual. This will expose three Phillips #2 oval head screws distributed around the pivot hub. Remove these screws and the square plastic and metal plate they are attached to. You can now see two #0 Phillips pan head screws on either side of the pivot sleeve; remove it and slide off the black plastic cover. The three large elastic locknuts you see now are adjustments; The large nut in the middle adjusts the friction in the joint, and the two smaller nuts on the sides adjust the tilt. To see the changes you make as you turn these locknuts, temporarily reattach the square plate, which gives you enough leverage to measure the desired level of friction. That concludes the mechanical part of the fix, but it's also handy for quickly and easily rotating the image on screen when it's physically rotated.
