Light but strong and great value. There are no smaller pockets in the small front pocket, but that doesn't bother me. Also the water bottle pockets are perfect for a 16 ounce plastic bottle. Update: It rained heavily today. The backpack is waterproof, for example against rapid water spills, but it cannot withstand heavy rain. Luckily only the top of my laptop got wet, but then again this backpack is water resistant, NOT waterproof.
