Light but strong and great value. There are no smaller pockets in the small front pocket, but that doesn't bother me. Also the water bottle pockets are perfect for a 16 ounce plastic bottle. Update: It rained heavily today. The backpack is waterproof, for example against rapid water spills, but it cannot withstand heavy rain. Luckily only the top of my laptop got wet, but then again this backpack is water resistant, NOT waterproof.

This bag really exceeded my expectations when I received it-- It has an internal back pocket (which I will use for my wallet and keys), but it can also fit in pocket kindle paperwhite so it's quite big. Those side flaps are actually pockets too, not the fancy detail I was expecting, so I ended up with three extra pockets! It's a solid construction for the price and the size is nice. Great buy honestly!

I've been using this backpack for just under a week and so far so good. Not really waterproof. Even with light rain, some papers got wet. The straps are a bit thin and can dig into the shoulders. The zipper often gets caught on the zipper flap or frayed threads in the bag's material. This of course was before one of the zips broke and now refuses to zip up.
