Good portable monitor stand after a bit of tweaking

I had a VESA mount portable monitor and when I'm not on the road I use it in my KVM network rack for all my machines in the rack. I bought a separate VESA quick release adapter so I could quickly pop it out of my power rack and take it with me when I travel, which brings me to this portable mount for when I actually travel. I added the same Vesa adapter that came with the quick connector so I could just snap it in and that's it. This mount is pretty good. The base and arm seem pretty solid. The actual VESA mounting plate is on the weaker side, but after adding my Vesa quick release adapter it now perfectly matches what I use it for. I'm deducting half a star because if I didn't have this adapter it would be pretty frustrating to have something so flimsy when the rest of the device was so much better. really hard to turn around. The first time I unfolded it, I held on to the Vesa mounting plate and had to use so much force to unfold it that the Vesa mounting plate actually started to bend. It was very disappointing. I have 3 different desktop/home monitor mounts and each can be loosened or tightened with a hex wrench on how well they move. If you look at the photos you will see that on the outside each joint is flat with no hex key socket. At first I was concerned I wouldn't be able to adjust it, but found that it is actually possible by taking a #10 wrench and loosening it about 1/8 to 1/4 turn. It doesn't take long to untie so it still holds up well but still can be folded. I want to roll it out and then tighten it to hold the monitor, but to be honest with a 1/8 turn I suspect it will probably work just as well in most cases and even with larger/heavier monitors. To be honest, I think it's up to this guy to decide if it's going to be a standard mount and then just won't work, or if it's a portable monitor mount (which I think is perfect for), then this is it Slightly loosen the default tension setting. Anyway, I'm afraid I'd probably break the Vesa mount plate if I had to fold/unfold it every time I travel. It has a small spring closure and is very easy to put on and take off when needed.
