Review on Black Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM Lens - Model 1380C002 by Dimitar Konstantinov ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.

The fact that this is not the first "Elka" lens means that there is no stormy enthusiasm around this lens. The ones before it are highly specialized repairs, and in comparison to them, the 24-105 zoom is nothing more than a kit that has been upgraded. Both the crop-sensor Mark 1D III and the full-frame Mark 5D II are used for shooting by me. After the changes, notably those made to the 135/2L, there was an unpleasant sensation of the picture being soapy, and if the 135 delivers razor sharpness already at 2-ke, then the 24-105 works out an open aperture that is very, very mediocre. The fact that, contrary to what is said in the evaluations, he was completely unaware of the "dark"))))) I make the image larger while maintaining the same exposure settings. Backlighting is the photographer's equivalent of a slow and painful death (((((. I don't recall such depravities being committed in order to preserve a photograph during the "Brezhnev" era. To avoid backlight as much as possible, avoid burning incense. Photoshop, in the worst case scenario; nonetheless, this is not a cure-all solution. That is, as my master (forever and bright memory to him) Iona Leibovich said - "Shura, always shoot from the window" - "Shura, always shoot from the window".))))) When working with flash, the picture is not pleasant ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Of course, it is not the same as whale lenses, but the differences are not significant enough to warrant a significantly higher price. In my opinion, the appropriate price for this lens is somewhere in the range of 18,000 to 22,000, rather than the 35,000 to 39,000 that they are asking for it (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Despite the fact that it is unquestionably pricey, I can say that I am generally pleased with the lens. In my perspective, it is ideal for reporting because it covers seventy percent of the FR and is simple enough for a novice to use. Creativity is not something I recommend. There are solutions available for this. You can have a look at some of my work here:

Pros
  • - Dependable, nevertheless, just like all other "Elks" - Lightweight - Excellent color reproduction - Outstanding stabilizer performance - The "trunk" does not depart in a vertical posture - Quick autofocus
Cons
  • - Nevertheless, on the open aperture "4" lathers, - Does not tolerate backlight - Disgusting lens hood - You are necessary to have protective glass and polars (the photo will be considered "budget" if you do not have these).
