I bought this iron mainly as a sewing iron because it is the cheapest 1800w iron on the market. What I like about it: 1. The water flows out right when you empty it, so you can completely empty the tank after use.2. The tapered tip of the needle is great for ironing seams and plunging into tight spots.3. Good heat and vapor production. It uses less energy than other 1550w irons I've had and produces more heat and steam.4. The groove that connects the soleplate to the iron is raised and not close to the base (away from the fabric) so there is less chance of lint getting stuck there. What needs improvement: 1. The steam knob is in an awkward position and is difficult to turn.2. It's hard to tell when the water will run out, as that part of the iron's body is blackish and opaque.
