The universal needle from Schmetz is awesome!
I needed size 12 needles because I realized that my universal size 14 was not suitable for some light fabrics. When I received these needles I was using them to finish a project I had been working on for a few weeks and I noticed my fabric had changed. This needle size was better suited for the project. This is a quality product and works well with my Brother LS-2125i machine. In general, I have not noticed any difference in quality between Schmetz and the brand that came with my sewing machine.
