Overall this filter does a great job with my 5 gallon tank. The tank filter speed is adjustable and can control the flow. I've been looking for a long time and finally decided on this filter. Actually it works well and much better than I expected. I like slow water flow because it provides the most comfortable swimming speed for my nano fish. Thanks to the non-adjustable filter, my fish swim constantly without a break. Almost like a marathon for her. This filter is quite large. In my 5 liter aquarium it takes up about 1/5 of the volume. Better for a 10 gallon or larger tank. The noise level is acceptable. However, a 5 gallon tank will also work. This filter is difficult to open for cleaning and requires little effort. First I need to open the front frame and remove the back frame. The 4-stage filtration concept is well thought out. Ceramic balls are a good medium to create beneficial bacteria.
