This bag is roomy and feels solid, just like the one it replaces. My son's high school provided the bag in August. This lasted about 2 months. That's about as long as I think this one will last. Because it has the same design flaw. The handles of the bag are attached to a durable material. But the material is sewn into the plastic. If the cord material was on each side of the plastic and sewn to itself it would last longer. I've attached a photo of the bag he replaced. As you can see it came off near the handles. The rest of the bag is still intact. I think this bag will have the same problem because it's made the same way. I am attaching a photo of the new bag for comparison. As you can see, it holds up well. And it has many pockets. Including laptop bag. I'm not disappointed. I was just expecting to get something similar to what he had. As long as it lasts a few more months I will buy again. Unless I find better with reinforced straps.
