This thing was used to remove exhaust bolts when the torx headstock is rounded. Works perfectly. Pulled a few strings at the other end due to rust, but it came off! I wouldn't recommend installing bolts with this because once you've cleaned or re-threaded where the bolt goes, it should thread easily with a torx bit. I have not used it to install studs because I understand and have heard that it smooths out new threads. That being said, the tool works great if you don't want to remove the exhaust manifold to install pliers and pull out the studs. I did everything in the car👍. No complaints
