My Accusplit was spot on when it worked right and I loved having it. BUT (1) Even though I seemed to have the case completely closed, it seemed somehow ajar; and when not fully closed it would reset to a completely different setting than what I had set. (2) When I checked if the case was completely closed, it was very difficult to open it. (3) When I managed to open it, it came loose slightly at the bottom. Basically it's a cheap plastic construction. In theory, I should have opened it up and read what was there without pausing. In practice, this has almost never happened. (4) He finally died walking down a sidewalk that had bushes that had not been fully trimmed. The pedometer was designed to clip to my belt, and that's where it was; but obviously this cheap plastic sling was no match for a stray branch. After a while I looked down and most of the pedometer was gone. Spring. Maybe a child found it and has become more of a digital soul as a result. Perhaps I contributed to the formation of the future engineer. Not bad for twenty bucks. But I still won't buy any more.
