The cable itself works as advertised - it can be used to charge USB-C devices such as a MacBook Pro or iPad Pro, as well as transfer data. There are no problems. But the plastic casing around the USB-C tip is thick. If your device is in a case that covers everything but the ports, cameras, and microphone, this cable may not be compatible due to the extra thickness. I have such a case on my iPad Pro and the cable can accidentally pop out because it can't sit flush with the connector to latch securely. Another issue I have with this cable is that it's stiffer than the regular Apple-supplied cable. and inflexible. This can be an annoying placement as it takes him to a specific area and he just bounces back to where he wants to be. The more flexible cables stay where you put them. However, it was the cheapest of its kind (5A charge and sync), so I can't bark too loud. I got what I paid for and it works, just not perfectly. I could have paid more for excellence, and I didn't, and now that I've used the cable first hand I'd rather keep it than pay more. The problems I'm finding haven't been catastrophic for me, but I wanted to make them as easy as possible for others.
