Bought these for my almost 2 year old twins who like to go everywhere and explore the world. It was a game changer for my family. We call them "bracelets" and use them when we walk in the park or go to a public place. We feel safe as parents of twins because neither of them can walk. You like freedom. The steel in the line also puts some tension on the end so they kind of come back automatically. For my daughter I say "Baby Boomerang!" and she comes back to me. As another review says, it's like an extension of my arm and it teaches them to walk beside us instead of in front of us (like animal backpacks). I also love that another adult watching them encourages the adult to be actively involved with the baby. No "Who got it?" because someone is tied to the other end of the line. Everywhere we go, people come up to us, compliment them and ask where we got them. I even took a screenshot to show the people physically. A guy we met ordered them straight away. Note: Compared to other leashes, I bought this because of the locking feature and the same length of the leashes.
