The packaging was opened immediately. Was very excited to try this as winter is here and our old blanket has died. He is very soft. Surprisingly thin, but VERY warm. Got this special because of the two controls, love that my side is warmer than my spouse. The only thing that disappointed me is that you need two sockets next to each other. We have an old house with very few outlets, but we're going to make it work. I didn't have to turn the heat on last night, so our gas bill will probably go down a bit. UPDATE, so someone commented that the ceiling is slippery. I thought it sounded weird. It is true. I think because this duvet has two pegs on the legs it gets heavier and when you wake up in the morning you end up on the floor. The solution I found is to sleep on this blanket. I'm still very comfortably warm, it stays in place.
