This works great and extends to a wall outlet even though I mounted the soundbar quite high. BE SURE TO READ THE TIPS: YOU MUST RESET THE POWER OF THE VISIO SOUND BAR OR IT MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH THIS CABLE. After struggling with power issues for months, I was ready to buy a new soundbar. I called Visio and they showed me how to reset the power (unplug the cable from the panel and then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds). After that it worked perfectly.
