Makes washing belt replacement easier

My belt snapped on my 10 year old washing machine. The cost of a service call alone made me wonder if it's time to just replace the washing machine. I decided to try it myself because the belt and this tool was half the cost of getting a mechanic to look at it. I was planning on buying a new shim if I couldn't effectively replace the belt. This tool did what I thought was impossible as a woman with no previous knowledge or experience with a washing machine and saved me a lot of money.
