These small jars are perfect for making homemade yoghurt. You can really use them for almost anything. They are a bit difficult to clean with a cloth. I would suggest it would be better if you had something smaller to wash. The mouths of the cans are smaller, so you can see from the picture that this can be an obstacle. The glass is a little thicker, not as thick as some of the other reviews I saw before purchasing. I also read many reviews that the lids are very tight and require little effort to remove. However, I do not agree. The lids fit, but I can still rotate them on the can. I'd be nervous about adding liquid to them unless you just put them in the fridge. Great price and perfect for what I need specifically. =
