I had always struggled when it came to transporting my toiletries during trips. I used to put everything in ziplock bags and then put those clusters of bags in walmart plastic bags because I was terrified of something spilling inside my backpack. This Boacay bag was at the top of the list when I searched amazon and for good reason. I fell in love with all of the amazing features it has. Compartmentalization and liquids protection are the most important for me. The pictures I posted give you an idea of what it looks like in practice. I am under the impression that this bag's design gravitates more toward women since the elastic bands on the left side pocket are obviously meant to hold makeup brushes, and the rest of the pockets basically make this a perfect makeup bag. However, any male could use this bag for his toiletries just as I did. Of course, I believe that anyone is entitled to their own preferences, but I recognize that a stigma exists when it comes to men using feminine products. I am a straight male, but I love this bag because it makes me feel beautiful. My favorite part about it is the inside color. I think it's the same for every exterior color, but this particular beige gives the bag that hint of femininity that makes me feel like I am taking good care of my skin, like women who have many products in their skincare routines. Speaking of color, the images posted for the "sapphire black" color incorrectly depict the real item, but it's not a big deal. From the pictures, I expected a richer, deeper black and a texture of what I can describe as a soft, black bra. Instead, it is more like the quintessential lunch bag texture and the color is a bit opaque. This, while a bit of a disappointment, is a plus for guys that want to buy it, since it definitely looks significantly more gender-neutral in person. A complaint I have with the bag is that it's not very sturdy. I would gladly sacrifice the fold-to-store feature for a firm, solid base in the main compartment and main walls. I found that it was a bit difficult to load it with my stuff since it was collapsing on itself due to the heavy hanging segment. This is not to be confused with durability since the material is strong, almost the kind you would find on the exterior of a backpack, and the stitching is of good quality. Lastly, the main compartment is a bit smaller than you would expect, and the three mesh pockets are of different size, the middle one being the biggest. I would prefer if they were all the same size and if they had elastic bands as opposed to fabric since I was not able to fit most of my bottles in there. Overall, I love this product since it actually stores things vertically and in different pockets as opposed to horizontally and all in one big compartment like most other toiletry bags. This, along with the liquid resistance, allows for peace of mind when carrying bottles that could spill on your other items and leak into your luggage. Also, it is awesome that Boacay cares so much about its customers! I got in contact with them over a doubt I had, and they replied to me literally in one minute, and they really care about our feedback and ideas to make their product even better! I am so glad I found this bag!
