Tailored hat, easy head size adjustment. Larger vents can be used to increase airflow. I bought this hat for outdoor archery in the sun hoping the short brim wouldn't get in the way of my curve. Unfortunately, this is the case, so you have to put your hat on your head to shoot without the string hitting the count - I shoot without a bow, so Olympic-style anchors (i.e. under the chin) might not have this problem. Better than a regular baseball cap, but still not quite a cat meow.
