I was looking for a real leather collar for my super small calico mix and came across these collars. My dog's neck is like a puppy's neck, very small and I had trouble finding a collar that fits her. I wanted a collar that was soft, light and thin but strong. I ordered a pink XS collar for my girl and what arrived was not the bright pink as shown in the product image. It's more of a deep pink but still very cute and suitable for a small dog so I'm keeping it to myself. The width of the collar is nice and thin (thin, like the small X-collar at Petsmart). The skin is soft, the collar is not heavy but light. I thought I saw the jewel in the product image on the back of the buckle but when I received the choker it just said 'choker'. Damn it would be better. My dog collar is for her dog tag only and will never be used for walking. We use a tether because it is so small and can damage the trachea. I deliberately chose a real leather collar because of its durability. It will last a long time and if it gets dirty I can just wipe it off. Beware of faux leather as it is polyurethane faux leather and will not last longer than real leather. If my dog's collar breaks I will let you know if it's worth buying. So far, so good.
