Review on πŸ”Œ 4K DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter Cable (2K 60Hz, 1080p 120Hz) - WARRKY Uni-Directional High-Speed DP to HDMI Converter for HP, Dell, GPU, AMD, NVIDIA, and More - Male to Female - Passive by Dale Toth

Revainrating 2 out of 5

You are unreliable to me.

Update. I am writing this update because WARRKY contacted me after I submitted a review. They wanted to fix it and offered to send me their 6.6ft DisplayPort to HDMI cable. The cable they sent worked great for my situation. I'm increasing my rating to 2 stars for the following reasons: 1. I don't feel that my results with the 10" HDMI cable fully reflect the capabilities of this adapter as the cable I'm using isn't very high quality and this will affect my results.2. Based on my conversation with WARRKY support, this adapter is probably best suited for laptops with very short, very high quality HDMI cables. That's not my situation. I tried using the adapter with a desktop computer. However, the list should have said something about it. I stand by my assessment "does not work reliably". The high-quality 6-foot HDMI cable I used at the resolution I tested should have matched the capabilities of this adapter, but my results have been so conflicting that I cannot recommend this adapter. However, I can recommend the DP-DHMI cable they sent as a replacement. Even if you have a laptop, buy one. Finally, thanks to the WARRKY support team for getting in touch with me and making everything right. I find this level of concern for customer satisfaction unusual and will therefore continue to review WARRKY products in the future. Asking people to leave reviews to receive a gift certificate. If they actually told me they were happy with my initial one star review. They just want an honest opinion about their products to be published. I also think it speaks volumes for WARRKY as a company. In the end, WARRKY just went above and beyond to make sure I was a happy customer. Thanks very much! Original message:---------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------ ---------------------------------- I was looking for a way to connect my HDMI monitor to my DisplayPort graphics card. After ordering a DP-HDMI cable and receiving something else in a mislabeled package, I decided to try the adapter. This adapter has received great reviews, is gold plated and advertises 4K resolution. I only needed 1080 resolution so I took a picture and bought 2. I wish I hadn't. My computer has a Sapphire Radeon Pulse RX5500 XT graphics adapter with 3 display ports and an HDMI port. Using an adapter connected to an HDMI cable longer than 6ft will cover the screen with flickering red lines, becoming unusable and maxing out at 640 x 480. When connected to a high quality 6ft -HDMI cable I get 640 x 480 resolution. If I reboot, disconnect, reconnect and reboot a few more times, I SOMETIMES get 1080 resolution. The behavior is horribly inconsistent. It is only consistent that both adapters behave in the same way. So why all the good reviews? Inside the box was a card for each adapter that promised a $5 Revain gift card per review.
