I always have them with me to hang or attach metal objects to others. I used a magnet on the base for a rotary altimeter that I made, drilled and fitted flush into the bottom of the tool body. I use others to attach the thin sheet of plastic used to cover the paths of my lathe, it moves well when I use the slide motion and makes the plastic easy to remove for cleaning or replacement. Others I use for the steel ruler that hangs on the back of my lathe for reference. Others are used for hanging notebooks on metal hooks for project plans, etc. Always use strong magnets. It's good.
